My friend Ross took this photo of Taiwan's most exciting residential project -- TiT! No, not "breast" but "Town in Town"! (What does that mean?)

I blogged about this before too.

All restaurants and many other public locations in Saudi Arabia are segregated by sex. Single men (not single women) go into the Singles' Section. Women and families (men with women; children with women too) go into adjacent Family Sections.

I feel this is one reason there are no "No Smoking" sections in Saudi Arabia -- very hard to organize -- would they have to create four sections!

Toddlers in China are often clothed in open-backed pants -- pants with slits that allow for easy urination and defecation on the streets (given the dearth of public toilets in China).

Farky the Wonder Dog

Farky Wonder Dog
Originally uploaded by BoydJones

My family's loyal, toothless mutt in the 1980s. Despite having few teeth, Farky would catch rabbits and other animals and defended the house as if she had teeth.

As you can see in this photo, her tongue would fall out of her mouth and get a bit dry.

Feral garbage cats - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Feral garbage cats - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Originally uploaded by BoydJones

Not sure how in iPhone messed up this photo. In any event, in the central "frame" one can see a feral garbage cat resting on its bin -- its territory. Every trash bin has its own feral garbage cat or two.

Interesting to me that there are so many feral cats and no stray dogs.
