must have one of those coffee makers that don't stop brewing when the pot is taken out of the burner. cheap coffee makers are like that, or broken expensive ones. i hate it when that happens, when liquid still drips down on the plate when you take the pot out before the brewing has completed. hot coffee could burn your hand, too!
