One of the interesting things about Taiwan is the cultural attitude towards personal space and privacy. Often times on older vehicles, various firms will paste small stickers on the car. These advertise car scrapping services. I find this very interesting in the sense that in the West, drivers would probably sue these firms for the audacity of placing stickers on vehicles. Or would visit the firms and complain for the violation of personal space. Not in Taiwan. Taiwanese take this like many other violations of personal space in stride.

The capture of this fort / castle was instrumental to the formation of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Includes an interesting story about Noura, the sister of the first king and her "Yellow Rose of Texas"-like tactics.
The restored fort in old quarter of Riyadh is a nighttime gathering spot for youngsters and families.
